There are different ways to transport containers.
Sea and inland water ways:
Shipping containers can be stacked on a container ships for overseas transport or on smaller coastal barges through the inland water way network.
Road:
Various types of trucks such as flatbeds, tilt-beds, roll-offs, and landolls can be used to move these containers from the depot to its final destination.
Rail:
Bulk movements can be made from ports to inland depots via rail lines. However, a truck will be needed to move the container to the final destination.
